AMBIENT SOUL
2014-2016
Ambient Soul was a radio program I hosted on KTSW 89.9 and my blog Trillblazer. The show’s format was contemporary and offered an array of genres including electronic, R&B, rap and alternative.
KTSW 89.9 FM
2013-2015
I started working the night shift at KTSW in the fall of 2013. I quickly realized I wanted to grow my production skills and decided to go up for a production spot the following semester. With the help and support of the station’s team I was able to host Ambient Soul for two years. One of the highlights of my experience was performing a live DJ set for the station’s annual MR FEST music festival alongside artists like Pillar Point, Fat Tony and Buxton.
HOT106
2005-2012
In 2005 I started internet-radio station Hot 106, which I operated until 2012. During that time I served as operations manager, web designer and on air producer. The station specialized in contemporary Hip-Hop, R&B and Dance music. During my time with Hot 106 I was able to advance my skills in programming, imaging, web design and web development. I also traveled to radio stations across the United States where I networked with professionals in the industry and was also able to attend workshops and conventions such as the Ozone Awards. My time running Hot 106 allowed me to interview musicians and work with companies such as MusicMaster and ReelWorld Jingles.
